For the love of weddings. CT Family Photographer

_dsc0186During the rain storm yesterday, I planned to pull some images for a wedding inquiry and next thing I knew the kids were walking in off the bus.

Only a few galleries were easily accessible and yet I fell right down the rabbit hole. Why are we so drawn to the romantic charm of a wedding?

So I’m sharing some of my favorites from the galleries I had on hand.Who doesn’t like details? The dress, bouquet, rings, fancy shoes, venue…

_dsc0687How the groom enters, what’s his response when she does…

I thought it was about relationship, but a quick google search revealed not only that , it also our joy in ceremony.”rituals help people transition …and savor the milestone they have just reached.” Michael Norton of Harvard Business School in this article Mic.com.

Each new commitment is unique as the couple and  I always tear up.

They are beaming, proud, happy. Because all the planning has come to this.

Then there is the excitement of the party with your dearest friends and family.

After formal family shots, it’s my favorite, images to keep as a mint new couple.

When that weighty invite arrives in the mail, get excited to embrace all the tidbits but mostly fall a little more in love. Because their love validates your love.

Best time for Family Photos in Connecticut. 3 boys 4 seasons

You know you gotta do it.

Take the time to call a college pal, bake, or write a note, or paint the hall finally but the intended is held off cause your just “waiting until you have the time”.

sarahcruzphotography-1-of-1

Urgent wins but unfortunately isn’t what you’ll wish you  had done in five years.

DSC_0373Urgent puts off everything else for later.  Important
things may wait, while urgent doesn’t.

Well the best time to get your photographs is now because they are just getting bigger and there are always other landmarks to hit. In winter, in spring, summer and in fall.

Take the time, and you’ll find that it takes less time than you thought.  Schedule it in, and refuse to let anything crowd it out.

Give yourself the chance to have photos of yourself and your crew created that you love.  Not photos that are ‘fine’ or escape being deleted on your phone– but that you’re thrilled to look at and share with others.  It will change perspective and make you feel accomplished especially if they are printed and framed or come ready to hang!

Don’t wait.  Believe me, you DON’T don’t need to wait for season to change, to lose weight, get a hair cut, be not pregnant, dress better,  or wait.

Nothing needs to change – except maybe the way you feel what’s urgent. Schedule some time. Most days after 4pm or 1st thing on the weekend days. I’m in. Just email cruzsarah@yahoo.com.sarahcruzphotography15 (4 of 1)

Cause next thing is that it’s the winter again, a whole new year of urgent.

Celebrate your family! CT Family Photography

Capturing your family in photos is a fantastic way to celebrate them! During family sessions, invite your mom, your sister, and the horsey next door to illustrate how special your crew actual is.

DSC_4301-EditImages of the two of you because parenting can be hard on marriage and it’s so important for your little people to see you together, in print.

DSC_4263-Edit

We get the image where everyone is looking at the camera with a smile, but goofing off with some directed play has fun results.

This time, aunt ramped everyone up and loving grandparents added to the energy too.

When we made use of the lush serene park aka Grandma’s, we looked for some more adventure…

Welcoming a new baby brother – CT Family Photographer

Not a newborn baby specialist,  I prefer the challenge of capturing a delightful laugh of a smirking kid running and looking back to see if you’re following. However, if you add a patient tiny preemie to two spirited brothers, that’s a combination like chocolate & marshmallow. Enjoy the deliciousness.

Welcome baby Chase!

Armed with a special angel & two other brothers that are sure to be “the only people that will bug you for their own entertainment and beat up anyone else who tries.

So happy for the parents of this crew. A house full of boys is the best.
