Typically when discussing your shoot during our pre-session, people are very concerned where we should shoot the images. Happily, I can make anything work. My wedding training required flexibility and quick creative solutions, so I’d rather be where you are comfortable. That often means your yard or for little one’s sometimes mom’s bed. For this multi generation crew we met in a park-like setting at Grandma’s. Delightful chaos freezing candid opportunities while taking advantage of the natural beauty of their home. We used several places throughout the yard so each family had a different look for their portrait. So much fun and I enjoyed the time spend time with this wonderful family. They were so welcoming, I felt like a part of the family! Schedule forced a quick shoot and when the newest prince on the scene wasn’t pleased after his long car ride to attend, we adjusted squeezing in some indoor captures.
Happy to congratulate this new family of four. Because so much of the first month is spent at home, I was delighted to capture what life looks like right now for them. The weather was like today cloudy and rainy so we were indoors at their sweet cocoon of a consuming new baby. Watching the confidence of experienced parents and how the 2nd reminds you how tiny that first had been was lovely. This gal is in good hands!
What fun to see Olive’s big brother Maxwell adjusting. So adorable, he was proud to show me his trains and jump on the couch. He got read to, played with and held, but isn’t quite ready to do that with his baby sister. A kiss or two wasn’t too much to ask. How sweet to wait and see their relationship develop as she becomes more interactive and can play.
Meanwhile, at almost a month old, little Olive didn’t want to miss my visit. She would intensely study her parents and big brother then look right at my camera, so unusual for newborns at this stage. Enjoy some baby charm and take some photos that capture what happens at your nest on a rainy day.
Sending warm wishes on her 14th month birthday. Looking forward to positive results for this joyful warrior baby and her loving family. Cake was made by her crafty momma, check her site at www.morselsparties.com
Outside again – finally! With a bit of a chill in the air, the playfulness of this family warmed everything especially the playground. Twin energetic yet curious boys turning 3 and a big sister with the most gorgeously soft real smile that may just overshadow the mischief in her eyes. A detail Dad with a quiet manner and an on top of it while so patient mom that is a soft place to fall. Their tender connection to each other and quickness to laugh was so inspiring and fun! Been thinking so much lately about focus and how it really is important to capture your family in the realness. Feeling so incredible lucky to do what I do. Feast your eyes on some of the sweetest moments.
Not a newborn baby specialist, I prefer the challenge of capturing a delightful laugh of a smirking kid running and looking back to see if you’re following. However, if you add a patient tiny preemie to two spirited brothers, that’s a combination like chocolate & marshmallow. Enjoy the deliciousness.
Welcome baby Chase!
Armed with a special angel & two other brothers that are sure to be “the only people that will bug you for their own entertainment and beat up anyone else who tries.”
So happy for the parents of this crew. A house full of boys is the best.
